Training

Agricultural Ratings

Requirements:
Must hold a commercial pilots license including a current medical.

Flying Course consists of:
30 hours dual training in a Satloc equipped Cessna 185
10 hours solo in the Cessna 188 Husky

 

Night Agricultural Ratings

Before being able to obtain a Night Agricultural Rating the Pilot must have completed a minimum of 500 hours as 'pilot in command' or 'in command under supervision' (ICUS), in an aeroplane, during daylight spraying operations. For further requirements please refer to CASA's Civil Aviation Orders 40.2.2.

There will be a minimum of 5 hours dual conducted in the Cessna 185 followed by a minimum of 5 hours solo in the Cessna 188

 

Biennial and Annual Flight Review

Pay's Air Service are authorised to conduct flight reviews for pilots wishing to remain current. Currency is referred to by CASA's Civil Aviation Regulation 1988 as:-

"A pilot must not fly as pilot in command if they have not completed an aeroplane flight review by an authorised testing officer within a 2 year period before the next proposed flight."
